Upgrading Your Store Bought OJ
Most of us think of orange juice as being healthy because of its vitamin C content, but I hate to tell you that alone isn't a reason to consume 28 g of sugar with only 0.5g of fiber with just 8 ounces of OJ. That is a TON of sugar going into your child's (or your own body). Sugar lowers their immune systems, feeds the bad gut bacteria, causes insulin spikes and fat storage (and over time insulin resistance as they get older). So when I allow OJ once in a while here is how we UPGRADE IT!
Green Juice OJ
4 oz OJ (preferably organic with some pulp for fiber)
2 oz water (we omitted from the video for simplicity sake, but we usually add water to OJ)
1/2 - 1 scoop Amazing Grass Greens Powder (for taste profile you are going to want to get this one in our opinion- I have tried many and lots Makayla, the oldest won't consume because it tastes like cut grass and top soil)not cloudy!, u
Directions: Add liquids then powder into a glass mason jar. Put on the lid and shake until well mixed with no clumps. Cheers!
