Most of us think of orange juice as being healthy because of its vitamin C content, but I hate to tell you that alone isn't a reason to consume 28 g of sugar with only 0.5g of fiber with just 8 ounces of OJ. That is a TON of sugar going into your child's (or your own body). Sugar lowers their immune systems, feeds the bad gut bacteria, causes insulin spikes and fat storage (and over time insulin resistance as they get older). So when I allow OJ once in a while here is how we UPGRADE IT!
Green Juice OJ
4 oz OJ (preferably organic with some pulp for fiber)
2 oz water (we omitted from the video for simplicity sake, but we usually add water to OJ)
