Chocolate Chia Shake

How to make a chocolate chia shake (video)

Instead of store bought chocolate milk loaded with sugar and low on protein, try our Chocoloate Peanut Butter Chia Protein smoothie! The chia seeds add fiber to keep bellies full and healthy omega's for heart and brain health. We use a natural whey protein low in sugar and no chemicals and dyes (10-15g portion is about whats good for Makayla as a snack). We also add natural, organic, no sugar added peanut butter for more satiating fats and yummy flavor. Sometimes we sub the banana out for avocado to keep the sugar lower and the creamy texture and potassium in place. We use non-cows milk because I noticed the more milk in Maks diet the worse the bumps on her arms and legs get. Less dairy = clearer skin for us!


1/2 scoop low carb chocolate whey protein (sweetened with monk fruit, xylitol or stevia and NOT sucralose or aspartame!!)

1 tbsp peanut butter

2 tsp chia seeds

1/2 cup almond milk

1/4 sliced frozen banana

Ice to desired texture
